We had the opportunity to briefly catch up with Will Schenk recently and got an update on the progress towards opening the market in Cornwall Bridge.

He told me, “On the market side, the kitchen equipment is starting to trickle in —  the bulk of the equipment should arrive by mid-June. Interior work should be done or at least close to done by then. Ronnie of Chimney Rock (his construction contractor) and Suzanne Stait, (his designer from MS Architecture & Interiors) have been a delight to work with.”

Local foodies will be pleased to learn that “Tyler Forve, Executive Chef, and James Arena, Chef de Cuisine and Executive Pastry Chef, formally of Arethusa are busy testing our various concoctions and refining the production layout, so we are making good progress there.”

He was less sanguine regarding the progress on the former fly fishing shop across the street, and confessed his primary focus “is to get the market up and going.”

We will continue to provide updates as we receive them. I for one, am anxiously looking forward to opening day!
